e5.5a is installed on windowsserver2012. Because I saw someone online who wanted to install vsphere5.5a on 2012. So let me first talk about the precautions for 5.5a (I have not personally tested this, but I saw someone successfully test it this way. I think it is very reliable. You can deploy and test it in the experimental environment.)
Notes:< br/>1. First of all, the system requirements are windowsserver2012 in English and sql2008 in English. I don’t have a specific system image, go to Baidu
Why do you want the English version:
1) vcenter5.5 and vcenter5.5a both have integrated domain problems on Windows Server 2008r2
2) On 2012 Installing DB requires that the operating system is 2012r2, which is the English version, and SQL is the 2008r2 English version, because the Chinese version will fail when creating odbc
2. When installing the English version of sql2008r2, you need to install .net3.5 before installing sql. In the past, when installing SQL in win2008, it would be automatically installed, but there will be problems in 2012. (See below for details on how to install it)
3. Before installing vcenter, import under system32, which can be copied from other windowsserver2008 computers. (This is no longer needed in vcenterserverupdate1 and later versions)
4. When creating odbc, select 64-bit in 2012, because only 64-bit odbc is supported after 5.5.
When verifying the odbc database, you must select the database user sa or other user verification you created. You cannot use integrated domain verification, otherwise problems will occur.
5. When installing flash on 2012 (because you need to access vcenterwebclient on 2012), you cannot install the exe file directly, because 2012 has built-in flash, and it will automatically update and install when connected to the Internet.
