WindowsServer2016 virtualization Hyper-V installation and configuration
1) windowsserver2008 began to release Hyper-V
windowsserver2000
windowsserver2003
windowsserver2008Hyper-V#The performance of the first generation virtual machine is poor IDE interface 133MB/s
windowsserver2012R2#The performance of the second generation virtual machine is improved SCSI interface network performance IO
Windowsserver2016#Second-generation virtual machine new features:
Host resource protection#Protect the physical server (host host to prevent the virtual machine from occupying too many resources and causing problems with the host host) and is turned off by default p>
Hyper-V manager improvements
Nested virtualization# Apply the hardware virtual VT technology of the CPU in the virtual machine to install Hyper-V in the virtual machine. Install the virtual machine in the virtual machine.
Hyper-V cluster rolling upgrade
Protected virtual machine#Encrypt the virtual machine and save the virtual machine file for security (protect the virtual machine and prevent the virtual machine from being copied out)
Boot Order Priority
Storage QoS
PowerShellDirect
New features for virtual machines include:
Discrete Device Allocation< /p>
Hot add or remove network adapters and memory (add network cards, adjust static memory size while the virtual machine is running)
Provide integration services through WindowsUpdate
Key Storage drives
Linux Secure Boot
Memory and processor capacity improvements Maximum single virtual disk size 64TB
Production checkpoint windowsserver2016Previous standard checkpoint (snapshot) windowsserver2016 Two types of checkpoints are supported:
1) Production checkpoint: Ability to use default production checkpoints in production systems
2) Standard checkpoint: Experimental environment

Deploy Hyper-V on Server1:
Select the hyper-v role:
Add a virtual switch and connect the virtual switch to the local network card Ethernet0
Configure storage:
< /p>
Start the installation:
Problem: Restart the network card configuration after installation to clear the configuration
Virtual switch:
Keep the original address configuration unchanged:
Virtualization:
1) Host host #Physical machine Server1 The host running the virtual machine virtualhost
2) Virtual machine vmvirtualguest
Configuring Hyer-V
1. Configuration Virtual switch: software-defined network
Modify the name of the virtual switch: switch1
Mode:
1) The physical network card bridging function between the external network # and the host host: The virtual machine connected to this switch can communicate directly with the host on the physical network
2) Internal network# This type of switch, the virtual machine connected to this switch can only communicate between virtual machines. Communicates with the host host at the same time, but cannot communicate with other hosts across physical machines.
3) Private Network# The virtual machine can communicate with the virtual machine on the host host, but cannot communicate with any physical server
Create an internal network switch: switch2
< p>2. Configure storage:3) Configure enhanced session mode: enable the virtual machine to access the local resources of the physical service to print and copy files to the virtual machine (limited functionality)
4) Create a virtual machine:
Use the second generation: windowsserver2012 and above, windows8.1 and above
ISO file associated with the operating system: Copy the iso file on the local computer to the server1 virtual machine
Start the vm1 virtual machine, you can go to hyer- Windows server 2016 is installed on v.
1. Win2016 is currently divided into three versions: Essentials, Standard, and Datacenter.
2. Differences:
1. Virtualization: Basic Edition (None), Standard Edition (Yes), Data Center Edition (Yes)
2. Processor cores: Basic Edition (2), Standard Edition (64), Data Center Edition (640)
3. Random Access Memory (RAM): Basic Edition (64GB), Standard Edition (4TB), Data Center Edition (4TB)
4. Applicable Enterprises: Basic Edition (Small and Micro Enterprises), Standard Edition (General Enterprises), Data Center Edition (Extra Large Enterprises)
< p>Basic Edition: Designed for small businesses. It corresponds to WindowsSmallBusinessServer in earlier versions of WindowsServer. Edition can accommodate up to 25 users and 50 devices. It supports two processor cores and up to 64GB of RAM, and does not support many features of Windows Server 2016, including virtualization.
Standard Edition: Designed for physical server environments with little or no virtualization. It provides many roles and features available in Windows Server 2016 operating system. Edition supports up to 64 slots and up to 4TB of RAM, it includes a license for up to two virtual machines, and it supports Nano server installations.
Data Center Edition: Designed for highly virtualized infrastructures, including private and hybrid cloud environments. It provides all roles and functions available in Windows Server 2016 operating system. Edition supports up to 64 sockets, up to 640 processor cores and up to 4TB of RAM. It offers unlimited virtual machine-based licenses for virtual machines running on the same hardware. It also includes new capabilities such as Storage Spaces Direct and Storage Replica, as well as new shielded virtual machines and capabilities required for software-defined data center scenarios.
